Mini Lunch and the Golden Age of Radio with speaker Steve Darnall
About this event
Steve Darnall is an expert on the Golden Age of Radio. The topic he will be treating us to is “Radio in the 1950s: From Golden Age to TV Age”. The ascension of television led many of radio's biggest stars and shows to leave the old medium of radio for the new medium of TV. Mr. Darnall’s presentation examines how radio evolved as its Golden Age ended and a new age began, with news, talk, music, and a new generation of comedy! This is an interesting part of American history and is sure to be an exciting lecture. Please invite a guest to learn a little more about the WCE and what we do. Cost is $20 per person.
