TheWoman’s Club of Evanston’s statement on our commitment to anti-racism.

Since our founding in 1889,The Woman’s Club of Evanston has been committed to addressing the needs of our community through our volunteer service and philanthropic efforts.

During this time, and to honor the Black men and women who have been harmed for too long by inequity, police brutality, and injustice, we are committed to the belief that Black Lives Matter. We remain committed to positively impacting the community by advocating for equity and working for justice.

The Woman’s Club of Evanston remains committed to strengthening partnerships with community organizations that work toward equity and social justice. Our recent partner organizations include: Curt’s Cafe, Howard Area Community Center, The James B. Moran Center for Youth Advocacy, Y.O.U., Evanston Scholars, Books & Breakfast, YWCA, Housing Opportunities for Women, Family Focus, and McGaw YMCA Men’s Program.

The Woman’s Club of Evanston is committed to provide training for our leaders and educational programs for our members in anti-racism and use this work to inform how we support and serve the community.
