2022 WCE Revue Script Meeting--LAST ONE OF THE YEAR!
Wednesday,October 13, 7:00pm
At the Clubhouse

This is it, your last opportunity to help us create a fun show to raise money for the youth scholarship program of our fantastic beneficiary, the Piven Theatre Workshop.

Present that song parody you’ve been working on, throw out some funny ideas you’ve been mulling over or just soak up the laughter and good vibes! Please BYO beverages and snacks. We are still practicing caution when it comes to food, beverages and Covid CDC recommendations.

Song submissions should be emailed to Jessica Hornsten at jhornsten@comcast.net by noon the day of the script meeting. We will share the lyrics electronically with script meeting attendees but please also bring 5 paper copies as well. It would also help greatly if those submitting songs come prepared to share the link to whatever they would like to use for a backing track during their presentation.

Hope to see you there!

We have been working to put together a fabulous WCE Revue, 70th anniversary edition. Hence, the title…That 70th Show! We are truly excited to team up with our beneficiary, Piven Theater Workshop, to raise money to support their youth scholarship program which will allow 3rd through 5th graders to attend classes and participate in performances at Piven regardless of their families’ability to pay.

We will be holding show signups Tuesday, October 26, 6:00-9:00pm at the Clubhouse. Yes, it’s on a TUESDAY NIGHT! Come let us know that you want to be part of the cast of our 2022 WCE Revue, "That 70th Show"! You’ll fill out your casting card and some other minor paperwork, then you’ll spend some time singing and dancing with us so that we can get an idea of how to make sure you sparkle onstage. We want to make it as simple and as fun as possible.

If you’d like to fill out your casting information virtually, you can do so at any time by clicking on the following link: “That 70th Show” CASTING CARD.

During signups, we will ask you to sing a few bars for us. No need to prepare anything in advance, we will have lyrics printed and karaoke tracks queued up for the following: Hey Jude, I’ll be there, Cabaret, One, You don’t own me, Here I go again , Sweet Caroline , My girl. Or, if none of those are your style, feel free to sing any other song you‘d like to bring. We never get tired of hearing Happy Birthday, for instance!

If you want to be cast in a dance number this year, you’ll head to up to the ballroom to enjoy learning a few cool moves with friends old and new. Wear something you can comfortably move in. If you’ve got character shoes, bring those. No problem if you don’t have dance shoes, we’ll have a good time together no matter what!

We will follow WCE COVID protocols to keep us all safe and if there are any changes, we will be sure to adhere to club policy.

Join us Tuesday, October 26 for an evening of fun and camaraderie. We hope to see you
